Finally got around to animating this guy. Going to work on a run and attack after this.

Troll Attack Edits
My wife and brother both felt that the mace still didn’t have enough weight. So I went back over it and really payed a lot of attention to how it moves and how he’s moving it around. Now it feels super heavy to me.
Edit: I wanted to do a side by side comparison

Gorilla Run
I’ve been looking for a rig of a larger character, and I’ve see this particular rig on Highend 3D for some time. So I decided to download it and check it out. I must say its a great one. I plan on doing a few more actions with this one.

Two Hour Animation
I’m working on being quicker with my animations, so I’m doing these quick cycle animations for video games. This was done in two hours.

Demo Reel 2009
The Final reel with music. I tightened up the beginning animation a bit and to make it a little less redundant.

Added Animation
Added a new animation to the demo reel, finished this one up today so I wanted to make sure it got in.

Final Render- Mech Girl
This is a lower quality of the final animation. With lights, motion blur, updated camera, and reworked the ending to give it a better “splash”. I added in the muzzle flashes to the rig to give it a more dynamic moment.

Mech Girl
Still having fun with cameras and building up that portfolio. Did this one today. Need to fix up some more little issues with that second half. But I like it so far.

Back to the action
Sorry for the lack of updates, some times I miss the motivation train. But, I’ve got two weeks free to work so I’m going to bust some stuff out.
I’ve had this one I’ve been working on off and on and finally finished it up. I wanted to work with a camera, because a lot of the best game demo reels I’ve seen have camera work and it really brings the scene to life. Interested to hear what people think.
*Edit* Removed the cut. Felt very jarring and smoothed out the camera a bit.

My new Blog!
I decided to move away from Blogspot as it did not offer the solutions I needed to display the large format Quick Time movies that I like to view my Play Blasts in. Quick Time is great because it gives me the chance to watch the animation frame by frame.
As a small repost, here is the Axe Attack animation with clean up.
